Billy Rogers ?

What a character - I remember playing against him in the Chester @ District League in the late 1970`s...
As I recall, Billy played up front for a team called '' Dixon Bate Barbarians ''....he was a prolific goalscorer .

Curiously enough, there`s a striker of the same name ( ie ROGERS, not Billy!) playing for Blacon in the West Cheshire League ... could he be related to Billy ?

That would be his lad, Jamie. He had a trial at Chester a few years back.

Billy is a sound bloke, plays darts around Chester and was thinking of starting stewarding at CFC last I spoke to him.

I ran DB Barbarians all that time ago!
Billy was a great bloke but I do remember him smacking one of his team mates before a game on the Roodee because the other lad wouldnt help put the nets up! Brilliant!
Great memories and hope he's well.
Think I have an old team photo somewhere if I can dig it out Ill post it when i get home.

I remember him getting the old Seals crest tattooed on his back then the following season the club changed it to the "Wolf/Crown" badge.

I think Terry Vickers moved to the Manchester area and has sadly passed away.

He was a great ambassador for the club, organised the away travel before Barry. He also ran the club shop for years. As a youngster,I have fond memories of him opening up for us out of shop hours just to look through the programmes.

Might be worth putting some on ebay myself?

That would be Karl Fenney . . . featured on Granada news. A crowd of us, Dave Abley(Abo), Boathouse Bazza, Derby, Jon Scooterboy etc. etc. happy awaydays & at The Deva (Cheltenham away 2000 laugh.gif guiness.gif )

I think Dave goes to Man City (spoke to him one match in the West Stand last season). Bazza use to go to Old Tw@tford. If you see these guys tell 'em to keep it real and get down 'The Deva'. cityscarf.gif
