The moment the Titanic Comes out of the sea in "Raising the Titanic" Of course not! THAT scene with Halle Berry in "Monsters Ball"? Behave;lets keep it clean! No for me it has to be the first sighting of the Mothership in "Close Encounters" brought the old hairs up on the back of the neck;also a scene in the "Green Mile" in the cell.Only saw that film once;must get it out again.

The green mile is a truly magical film. love it so much.

For me, countless scenes in Lord of the Rings of the breathtaking imagery. Probably the scene in the first one in the mines of moria, when they are running from the Balrog sticks the most. Went to see that film with my sister cos she was desperate to go and had no one else to go with. i knew nowt about it but loved every second!

In the film "Snatch" where Brad Pitt comes out to fight with Oasis playing in the background and from thereon in where the Gypsys set up Bricktop and his gang. Pure class!

A brilliant film which is also very very funny!

American History X where Ed Norton stamps on the black guys head against the kirb then the police take him away & he's got a sinister, evil grin on his face.

Absolutely brilliant film & a superb cast headed by the best actor of his time - Ed Norton.

That scene & most of the scenes in Fight Club starring the same guy & Brad Pitt - Superb!!!

Quite a few stand out.

Usual Suspects - The final scene is a defining moment in cinema for me. Outstanding.

Goodfellas - The whole sequence relating to the day Henry Hill is arrested is compelling - really well shot/produced.

Pulp Fiction - The Biblical quotation is class. Tarantino at his best.

South Park - "Weeeellll, Kyle's mum is a big fat bitch...". Still raises a smile.

Ah, Jack Nicholson has reminded me of The Shining as well, especially when they are in the maze and in the bathroom and the store cupboard...

The first one I thought of!! wub.gif
At the end of the original 'Friday 13th' when the girl in the boat is about to be rescued, and a hideously decomposed 'Jason' suddenly leaps out of the lake and drags her under. I have never seen a cinema audience jump so high!

As part of a media course I did, students had to examine two scenes from 'The Blues Brothers' and work out how many cameras and set-ups were used. They were chase/crash scenes and even after all these years I can still remember every frame! Despite this, 'The Blues Brothers' remains one of my favourite films ever.

Was that the 'billiard balls in the sock' scene? I saw 'Scum' during its cinema release (70s?) when Ray Winstone was about 18!!! 'Disturbing' is a most apt description of the film.

That's the one Aussie! A mate of mine recommended the film to me a while ago. It's a great film but I've never forgiven my mate since laugh.gif
