To explain Chester City Football Club Limited is the company that controls Chester City. This is the company with millions of pounds of debts etc.

My credit rating system, supplied by www.creditsafeuk.com, is reporting that the company either applied for Dissolution on 30 April 2009 or is now the subject of Dissolution. Dissolution, unlike CVA, administration or insolvency is a bit weird. See http://www.companyrescue.co.uk/company-res...issolution.html. In effect though it is a simple way of a company to go bust without much come back on the directors.

I don't think its happened because creditors have the ability to reject any dissolution outright (see link above).

For the record this is the text from my credit rating system.

Name CHESTER CITY FOOTBALL CLUB LIMITED Number 02998020

CHESHIRE CH1 4LT Company Status Dissolution
Postcode CH1 4LT Incorporated Date 05/12/1994

Name CHESTER CITY FOOTBALL CLUB LIMITED Number 02998020

*Status History
Date Description
30/04/2009 Dissolution (first Gazt)
03/04/2007 Petitions Winding-up (gazette)

The Gazette is the London Gazette www.london-gazette.co.uk and I can't find any recent record here.

Not trying to cause problems but this credit system is rarely wrong. It does seem like the first steps have been formally made for either the complete winding up of Chester City Football Club or at the very least administration.

P.S. If you are looking for further information you can view either:

http://www.london-gazette.co.uk - for notices and
http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk - then go to Search Company Information and then enter Chester City Football Club. You then click on the number, in this case, 02998020 and you can either order information or view the status (although it is often a little bit behind).

There was a topic on here recently about this subject. Not sure what's happening but it appears that SV senior is not a Director of the various CCFC guises, make of that what you will!

Or is that like asking how long a piece of string is?

Interestingly he has been tidying up his affairs. Companies House lists two Stephen Vaughan's.

On three companies:

Chester City Football Club 2004 Limited
Deva Property Holding Ltd
Cestrian Group Limited

On or around the 5th of April 2009 a certain Stephen Vaughan resigned as a Director of all three and Stephen James Vaughan was appointed as a Director of all three. All of them are listed as non-trading so why bother updating your records?

Interestingly the records of Stephen Vaughan are littered with failed companies. Yet the directorial record of Stephen James Vaughan is remarkably clean of any history. How fantastic is that!

Just found that Stephen James Vaughan is of course his 24 year-old son. Stephen Vaughan has exited the corporate world.

Its likely this is a first step. The creditors will probably reject the request for Dissolution and the next step will either be Administration or Insolvency. However it does seem like the wheels are now in motion.

We knew all this more than a week ago. His sister Emily is also one of the directors, I believe. Very worrying!

He may have been sniffing around Darlington hence the need to show he no longer is a director of CCFC, but it is all very worrying indeed unsure.gif

It certainly is worrying. It seems just a matter of time before the full impact of whatever is going on is revealed, and then everyone will be in a better position to assess things.

Admin means, most of all, that an adminsitrator runs the company in the short term while looking to find a buyer and settle any debts owed.

We can claw a 10 point deducton back if it means we can sign players without any embargo!

But admin would also mean a further points deduction if we have not come out of admin by the start of next season, and more likely than that a refusal by the conference board to enter the BSP which would mean a further drop down the pyramid. The tax man will not allow a CVA which means we would break the conference rules just like Boston.

As a side point - can we not have one discussion on here without it falling in to name calling and stupidity these days? (not meant to be a finger pointed at one person but anyone who clutters up decent debates with crap) All this SV this and SV that talk should be put to one side now and the gravity of the situation of for this club be put to the fore.

The Gazette is the London Gazette www.london-gazette.co.uk and I can't find any recent record here.

Not trying to cause problems but this credit system is rarely wrong. It does seem like the first steps have been formally made for either the complete winding up of Chester City Football Club or at the very least administration.

The Dissolution could have been generated by Companies House themselves on the basis that the Co. has not Filed Accounts or Annual Returns. I don't think that Directors of a Company owing lots of money could get a Company dissolved against the wishes of the Creditors without putting it into an an Insolvency process ie Administration or Liquidation
