Dover, Macclesfield and Wrexham are currently 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the league, and look at how many ex-Chester players are at those three clubs. It just goes to show the fine margins between winning and losing, and how slight weaknesses can be exploited by opposing teams. In recent times we always seem to have been a player or two short of a decent team, and that’s the difference between success and failure.

At present we’ve got the strikers, our midfield is ok, but we need someone solid at the back to play with Ryan Astles. Let’s hope Myles Anderson is the answer because we need to get it sorted soon, 3 wins in 19 games isn’t anywhere near good enough. The rest of the season starts today, and we need at least 34 points from 27 games to stay up. A point today would be good, so would one on Tuesday, but it’s our home form that is going to be crucial, we need to start winning regularly at home, especially after such a bad run since December 2016.

Please make an effort to get to the Dagenham game next Saturday and support the lads, your team really does need you! cityscarf.gif

I'll be up for Dagenham. My first home game since the Aldershot win just before Christmas last year. I saw a great point in the rain at Bromley and setting off for Leyton Orient in a couple of hours.

So three Chester matches for me in a week! cityscarf.gif
