Yes, best team and manager we have ever had. I can't believe he didn't manager a 'big' club after what he achieved. Players he identified like Storton, Dearden and Provan were really something else. And he discovered Joe Hart more recently. Certainly best manager that we have had. Should have a stand named after him.

Definitely agree with this. He did what he did with a constant problem with shortage of cash (nothing new there). What surprised me most was that he regretted resigning in 1976. I never realised thaty he resigned.
