Eastleigh are struggling at the moment so we will be looking to get something from there. It would be good if we do get ‘one over them.’ I’m going to be braving the trip again, but I am still looking forward to it. Hopefully a good performance with 3 points. Up The Seals!
Score: Eastleigh 0-1 Chester FC (Archer)
Attendance: 2,125 (138 Chester)
COYB!

It's got 3-0 written all over it this.

We've had chances, but spurned them all.

We're playing much better than we were a few games ago. Marcus Bignot has done well to bring in all the new players with virtually no cost to the club.

What a game that turned out to be. A late head from the big man and a fully deserved point. We could have had all 3 but a point away from home is always good. At the start we started slowly, but we soon got into the game and played some decent football. Eastleigh weren’t any good at all. They were shell shocked when we equalised and attempted to waste time until that point. Credit to the lads who didn’t give up the fight, which was rewarded in the end. I liked the fact that we were pushing up the pitch, instead of saying deep along with pressing their ‘keeper and defenders to put them under pressure. Marcus Bignot is slowly improving us, along with scoring late goals. Also I think that we are becoming tougher to beat as well.
Onto the big one on Wednesday, and I am quietly confident that we can do them. Come On You Blues!

I think we would have lost that game by 3 or more 4 or 5 weeks ago lots more fight in the team now.

Have they ? We still conceded two goals to an average team . We wont win games until we sort out the calamitous defending . We already need more than a point a game to stay in this league

First Eastleigh goal, caught cold in the first 2 minutes. Decent finish. 2nd, no player should be able to travel 30yds without a single foot being put in. Great cross and good headed finish. Credit to all today for effort and commitment and deserved the draw as a minimum. Big shout out to Akintunde who ran himself into the ground. Also Archer who literally had his name taken off his shirt, little service into him but he kept working. A massive improvement compared to Kidderminster.

On the subject of Kidderminster they lost to Fylde yesterday so we have a blank Saturday on December the 2nd
as that is FA Cup round 2 weekend.

My last game was at Kidderminster and it was so refreshing to see a real change from that dismal day.

Jordan Gough looks a fantastic addition to the squad. He had a great game. Halls, Akintunde and Archer were also on top form.

It was just a shame we were caught napping inside the first 3 minutes when it looked like we started with a back three, which was swiftly changed.

If Kingsley hadn't missed a golden opportunity in the first half, it could have been a different result.

All in all, a great day out! cityscarf.gif

Worth keeping an eye on today's FA Cup results. If Solihull somehow beat Wycombe, then Orient will have a blank Saturday on Dec 2nd as well. We're due to play them on a Tuesday night, and I could see it being considered for a switch.

Stranger things have happened!

None of that matters if he's had a cake, or two, with the senior blues and likes the new dressing room
