What about a potential crowd . . . a hard call?? Champions League night, meagre away following and current weather pretty grim??

Yep, no football at all on TV tomorrow night

Not convinced it makes a lot of difference myself - people who go on a Tuesday night are usually only the very committed, whether there's Champions League games on or not.

Lets hope this lad is here for longer than a month as so far he's played 20 minutes, not available for Tuesday and Saturday, so he will get to play Dover, Woking and maybe Gateshead depending when loan started.

It's not often a player at Chester misses games because of International Duty.

1st time since the club reformed? Can't think of another. Or did McBurnie have a Scotland U21 match?

Good one forgot about him. He played once for Gilbralter on 19th November. Chester had no game that day but played sat 16th home to Luton and 23rd away to Nuneaton. Just checked and Higginbotham played both games.

Could happen again since the lad Woodland we've brought in is an international for the Philippines.

He was born in Abu Dhabi, which I think makes him the first Asian player ever to play for us.

Scored 4 v Malta - then a hat rick for us the same week - one of my favourite all time players.

Yes, one of mine as well. In my favourite 16 players of my time in watching Chester. Will forgive him the fact he went to play for that lot down the road. Was injury phone and probably never fulfilled his promise when he left the Seals. Many happy memories from my teenage years.

Had a few drinks with Ian in his pub in Cricceith about 12 years ago with one of my workmates who was a childhood pal of his he laughed about being the only Welsh international to score 4 goals and still get booed by his own fans as the match was at the Goatcourse and he was a Chester player at the time

Yes he did but he didn't miss a CFC game. I think we were playing Alfreton away. He was told to miss the match and report to the team hotel in Glasgow by 9.00pm that night. When he insisted on playing for us they said OK but if you don't report by 9.00pm you will never be selected for Scotland at any level ever again. He jumped in his Dad's car straight after the game and got there in time. What a great bloke.
