We've signed Matt Glennon, what's he like as a keeper?

Talks a lot and organises the defence. Gave us stability and experience when we needed it. Had the odd wobble (as most do) but in general never let us down. Good signing - but as first choice or back up ?

More than likely, yes, although noises are being made that the keeper who's been on the bench for most of the last 4 years will be staking a claim.

Another decent signing for Halifax, he came in for the last dozen or so games after Danby broke his finger and did very well. I think he kept alot of clean sheets in those games too.

Sounds as though you all rate him and should be just what we need after the disaster that was our defence last season. We had a keeper who never left his line and generally flapped round like a big girls blouse and a defence that never won a header all season.

It was hard on Adam Judge but there's no doubt bringing Glennon in was the right move.

Best signing we made last season imo. Had lots of qualities that our No 1 keeper lacked and I wish he was still here tbo.

Glennon did a fantastic job for us at the back end of last season but I wouldn't have him over Danby myself, good signing for Halifax though.

I hope Fearon gets a fair crack of the whip. In half a game on Thursday I liked what I saw. One of the things I liked about Glennon was that I never sh*t myself when he was between the sticks. Felt that his composure during those last dozen or so games spread through the whole of the team. I'll never forget that save he made in the second half at Chorley.

I thought there was little to choose between him and Danby last season, would have been happy to have either as first choice keeper this season. It wouldn't really have made sense to sign him though as I think Danby is under contract and neither he nor Glennon would want to be back-up keeper for a Conference North side, and it wouldn't be good use of the budget either

Glennon was really good for us, great keeper at this level.

Strange quote, harbouring on the rediculous. Perhaps you'd be good enough to explain.
Richy was a very unique person with a quality and vision second to none and not to be taken
in the context you're suggesting.
Surprised the DC Police haven't intervened because I find your post both demeaning and insulting.

Have you been on the turps Resky?

.....I think I may understand your misunderstanding. I will await your apology.

Langley - putting Reskers senile moment aside, it wasn't actually tongue in cheek. I do genuinely believe that he is an underrated keeper.
