Why is everyone calling it The Boleyn Ground all of a sudden. Never heard it called anything but Upton Park until this season.

Because that's its name, bit like Sealand Road was never called that, rather the Stadium

It's a shame really. There's nothing wrong with it for a club like West Ham's needs and it's a part of their identity.

They've sold 50,000 season tickets next year and will sell out each game so I think its fair to say the current capacity of Upton Park is inadequate.

Their rent is a mere £1.5m per season and that after the taxpayers have paid £15m to convert it from athletics.

Have you seen the prices though?! Great for football, especially at the top level, and a long time coming but you can't help but feel that Leyton Orient could be really hit hard as you can foresee a detrimental impact on their income. I guess that's not West Ham's problem though. Not to mention the Hammers' cut price rent!

QUOTE
Every Season Ticket price band will see a reduction as the Club uses increased broadcast revenue to offer dramatically cheaper tickets to its supporters

A new entry-level Band 5 adult Season Ticket will cost just £289 – the cheapest in the Premier League

All Season Tickets for Under-16s will be cut to just £99 – the equivalent of only £5 per game

A family of four can buy a Season Ticket for just £776 – the equivalent of £41 per match

Strange that cos as a kid supporting Chester i always said the name of our ground was Sealand Road rather than the Stadium, even though i knew it was called the Stadium.

I always call this ground the Deva, no matter what company sticks its name to it.

Why should Man U be given the points? It's fans misbehaving isn't it? Probably rent a mob local scumbags.

It'll probably just give Utd more incentive now to be honest, Smalling's been pictured laughing back at them through the window taking pictures back.

I'd imagine the only people they've 'scared' are the kids standing amongst them.

Hardly massive a few bottles thrown at coach. I've been in a coach when a brick came through the window at Bolton.

The Murdoch propaganda machine is in full swing - SKY made it seem like the trouble was caused by a small handful of people throwing stones.

Manchester Utd lost as well, winning 2-1,lost 3-2.
(No excuse for that behaviour, to see a young lad in West Ham shirt crying because he's been hurt has no place in football today. Police say no arrests made, SKY seemed to have a lot of "fans footage" though)
