Found the following on the domesday site:-

The main language is English, which
is spoken by most families. Welsh is
spoken by some Farmers, and also by
some families. Cantonese is spoken by
families who have moved from China and
Vietnam.Hindi is also spoken
by Indian families. There are Italian
people living in Blacon who work in
the Pizza restaurant in Chester.
Blacon also has its own slang words,
used by teenagers . The language is
mostly opposites of words which are
commonly used in the English language.
BEUT means ugly; CLEAN means dirty;
KIND means nasty; BAD means good.
There are slang words which have their
own meaning; LIDS means not much,
QUARRER means don't believe; WEDGENOLD
means don't like your hair; ARRAS
means you are not smart; MICROWAVE
means it's hot out here; MEGA means
really ugly.

Funny

I lived in Naomi Close from age 1-11, went to JH Godwin and Dee Point before moving on, both good schools.
Some happy childhood memories from the 70s/80s there!

Can I stab a guess that means it's 'totally tropical' ie roasting hot?

Or given the other opposite meanings perhaps 'bloody freezing'. biggrin.gif

The latter. Your mate walks in the pub from the rain/snow or cold and says "It is lilt out there innit".

Never heard it anywhere else.
