So after months of hard work the winning post is finally in sight for Youngy's boys. With our vastly superior goal differance, if Guisely drop any points tonight against Halifax and if we do the business at Gainsboro tomorrow night - then we can finally wrap the title up on Saturday afternoon. A few lads at work keep asking me if we have won the league or not yet,i have told them the earliest now (barring any postponements) we can mathematically win it, is on Saturday at home to Boston.
Trouble is,they are the only team to take 3 points off us all season, whats the chances of a full house on Saturday only to see us get beat !

Hope that happens, but I've been saying for a while that I reckon it will be Guiseley away where it will be decided....the ultimate 6 pointer!

There's no chance we could have a vastly superior goal difference overturned, is there? wink.gif

It quite obviously is in the bag at this point - but, with the way the rearranged fixtures have fallen, if we slip up tomorrow/Saturday, it could add a bit of faux tension. We could still be 16pts clear after the Boston game and end up only 7pts clear a week later, with three games left, two of them being potentially tricky away trips, and Guiseley still to play the hopeless Hinckley on the final day.

I can only imagine the flapping that might cause.

it would be great to be able to win the league at home on Saturday citysign.GIF
then every remaining home game will be a promotion celebration party guiness.gif

I am a bit dubious that we may struggle at home to Boston on Saturday having played on Thursday at Gainsborough

That said I still think we will clinch the Title at Guiseley on 13/4
if neither of us drop any points before then a draw will be enough as we would have 104 points to their 103 max

With our excellent goal difference, we'd have to drop 11 points in our last six games to have any chance of blowing it. We've only dropped 11 all season.

It would take some cocking up, but I can't relax until we've confirmed it!

Massive few days, and two very awkward games for Guiseley!
