A 59 min journey, for £10.30 return. Got a feeling this may be a busy service Bank Holiday Monday.

Alty is a great place to get a drink too. Anyone not been to the Belgian bar should seek it out. guiness.gif

Their fansite refers to us as Chester City . seems like a lot of other clubs still see us as such . What they dont realise ,however is the level of support the new club has. I wonder how many are likely to go to Altrincham ?

With it being a Bank Holiday and a 3pm kickoff we will take 1000-1200 at a guess. I really wish other clubs would get their facts sorted and STOP calling us Chester City.

Am away for the Bank Holiday weekend and gutted to be missing out on one of the games I was looking out for when the fixtures were published. Sure there'll be a great following there.

Is it right that we haven't played Altrincham in a proper game since the FA Cup defeat twenty years ago? I felt as though our paths crossed in the Conference at some point, but I seem to be wrong on that.

Lowe never played for us in the conference. It was a 1-1 draw last time we played there, I'm pretty sure it was a goal from Nick Chadwick.

We played them twice in the final CCFC season, drawing 1-1 away on a bank holiday monday in August (lets hope its not an omen) and losing 3-1 at home, with Glen Rule scoring the best goal he will ever score.

Ben Wilkinson, what a truly awful footballer he really was.

For Alty away, i see no reason why we cannot hit 1200 fans.

oh, maybe accrington i 'm getting mixed up with.

I think we'll take about 1,200 fans! cityscarf.gif Brilliant following that would be and is the ground segregated?

Crap Town Center, very similar to Macclesfield, except there are more 4x4's being driven round with bloated tweed clad gents at the wheel.

I expect that the City fans will outnumber the locals, in the watering holes and inside the ground.

Really looking forward to this one! In footballing terms we owe them big time!
If I see/hear about Clive Freemans 'wonder' goal again, I'll scweam and scweam and scweam!

This has the makings of a great derby - this is one of the 'big ones' this season. Only an hour on the train, £10.30 return,
station not too far from the ground, quite a few pubs on the way and a decent chippy outside the ground.
There's no reason why we can't take at least 1500 to Moss Lane and make it feel like a home match.
Lets show them what an away following is! cityscarf.gif

The King George (200 yds past the ground on Moss Lane) looks a decent watering hole (and a scran) last stop before kick off??? Visit My Website
