The decision to make the Bradford City Match All Ticket was taken due to Safety Concerns pertaining to the expected numbers of Travelling Supporters. Due to updated information received and in an attempt to make it easier for Chester supporters to attend the game on Saturday, myself and Chester City Football Club, with the agreement of the Police have taken the decision to allow Chester City Supporters ONLY, to pay cash on the East Stand (Vaughan) and the North Terrace (Harry Mac) on the turnstiles. This match remains All Ticket for Bradford City Supporters only. My apologies go to all the people who have already purchased tickets but the decision was taken in the best interests of Safety. These tickets can be used for access to the ground on Saturday. An official statement from the club will made on the official website.

Cheers, thanks for letting us know.

Mr Safety Officer,

So for under 16 tickets for the terrace, where normally you have to buy from the ticket office then give that ticket in on the turnstile, will that be the same as normal?

Or can we just pay £5 at the turnstile like we used to...

Home fans can treat this game as they normally have any other game this season. If you usually need to purchase a ticket on a cash game, then that will be the same on Saturday.

If Bradford have only sold approx 850 it seems there's going to be plenty of empty seats in the West and South stands on Saturday, so maybe some Bradford fans could be allowed to pay on the day too? After all, they've got over 2000 seats at their disposal.

Nice idea 3mm, but i think that the club would be opening itself up for a Stockport type problem if they suddenly announced that the game wasn't all ticket for everyone.

We've got a stadium that only holds 5300 or so and the ticketing arrangements limit us even further. Surely by making it pay on the day for Bradford they aren't suddenly going to bring more than 1000 additional supporters?

We'll still lose a couple of hundred over this whole debacle I reckon if word doesn't spread fast enough. Those in charge of "safety" are more determined to kill CCFC than anyone.

The decision to make it all ticket was right, the club have looked at the small amount of tickets sold and altered it accordingly, again a good decision. Surely the apology is enough Olisdad? rolleyes.gif

On this occasion I don't think the club can be blamed. They are not the sole decision makers here.

I've had a wasted journey to buy tickets I didn't need then. I wish they would get their act together.

Maybe but this is not the clubs decision, we all know how the Cheshire Police are when there's a slight risk of more than 3000 people turning up at the Deva. Before Bradford's downturn in form they were all bigging themselves up saying that they are having 3 sides of the ground, they'll be bringing x thousand with them...of course that has now changed and so has the decision to not make it completely all ticket.

Does seem like a total waste of time for both supporters and ticket office staff.

Was once told it was so they could check ID properly to stop people over 16 getting in for a fiver, but Ive not seen this happen once.

Maybe its to stop turnstile operators putting a few adults through as children and pocketing a fiver?
