It will be Jim Harvey 100%. He's not worked here for free because he's a nice man. He's put himself in pole position and he's available and won't cost us any compensation. I thought he did a great job just before we folded, managing the team and getting them playing decent football in hopeless circumstances. Guess his win record wasn't very good but he was in an impossible situation. Good luck JH guiness.gif

I believe Peter Jackson has been out of the game for a few years now. I'm sure I read that he now helps run his wife's carehome business

Tbh given the current names in the mix (the realistic ones anyway) I think I would rather see Horan given a player managers role than any of those.

To be honest think even Pep Gaurdiola would struggle to get some of our "players" to string together one pass, most of them struggle even to pretend to be footballers!

We may as well if we are going to include half the names on that list. It is a bit embarrassing to think that people like Graham Barrow and the like would want to apply for a part-time job at a club that could be playing in the Skrill North next season. We will have to lower our sights a little to the likes of Lowe or Watson.

Agreed. Some of those names are far to big for a conference club. If by some miracle we were to get a Curle or Barrow sized name it would almost certainly be a short term arrangement with them doing us a favour until the end of the season at which point we will be left looking for a new boss again.

For all Mr Barrow has given the club I don't think he would be the answere. John Coleman has no contract at Southport.....

I wonder how much they want for Louis Moult. Just the sort of player we need.

Add to that a semi final place with England and a victory in the Mr Clutch Cup with Norwich. Great manager.

Anybody know if Carden is still playing? He was a player coach at Luton and at 34 might still be able to do a job.

I proposed Ian Atkins on another thread, did a bit of research and found that he is Head Of Recruitnent at Everton! No chance there then either.

Despite some of the hostility flying around I think Jim Harvey would be a good appointment. He did a god job in trying circumsstances last time round and knows the lower leagues well. Sadly I think if he got the job and lost a couple of games the honeymoon would be over pretty quickly.
