It's rumoured the FA have rejected Darlington's CVA proposal. If true, then wont play in the BSN next season, and are hoping NPL accept them.

This has come from Sam Elliott news editor of the Non League Paper via Twitter this afternoon. Interesting!

Hope its not true, but if it is and the BSN wont accept Darlo then Hinckley United will get a reprieve from relegation.

Can't be rejected as at the moment there is no deal, however, if and when one is agreed, Darlington will not be playing at the Darlington Arena for the foreseeable future-

Not completely. The ground is still there but very overgrown and only one stand left. Wouldn't take a lot of cash to make it Northern League standard, it's a long way from BSN quality though.

Have you already enquired about a groundshare?

Nah, we're waiting for Rangers to go bust so we can share at Ibrox.

Wouldn't surprise me if Jim Rushe says he is going to buy Darlo's Stadium and re-build it in Northwich. rolleyes.gif

Can't understand why something can't be re-born at Feethams, the area is still unbuilt on by the look of it. Probably to do with private ownership of the land, but a crying shame nevertheless.

Would seem the rumours yesterday had some substance. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17926586
Seems Darlo have not even tried to comply with the CVA, the fans are buying the club without paying the creditors, knowing the FA will punish them and hoping to be placed in the Evo Stick Prem. Looks like a reprieve for Hinckley United who will stay in the BSN.

I heard today they are going to play home games at Shildon, what a waste of a stadium, but then aghain the clown the built it really thought they would
push Boro down into 4th spot in the North East.

Anyone remember our visit to Darlo in the Fa cup around 85ish ? Lost 3-2. One of my all time Heroes Steve Fox the p**shead scored. Real rough awayday. The Golden Cock was like Blazin Saddles. Darlo battered us and some geordies battered them,, Loads of the Byron lads had to go back for court cases a few days later for trouble in the ground.,One turnstyle and a walk of death round the cricket pitch. No segregation 5200 Darlo 160 Chester. Feethams god love it..

Sounds very similar to our visit in the FA cup in 1978. As memory serves Newcastle's game was called of that day and some of their more stupid fans turned up for a laugh and a bit of a ruck. The segregation was poor / non existent and i don't mind admitting that i was scared for most of the game. I got away without any pain, plenty didn't.
PS We got beat 2-1 as well as i remember - happy days!
