Sad to see, but we all have to make our own way in life. looks like he is going to waste what talent he has.

Looking at the positive side of this, surely getting rid of Taylor means that there is room in the budget now to bring in a defender from somewhere?

Just a question now of whether SD decides to do that or not.

Sounds like what he has done is refused to travel long distance to Gillingham, with some excuse.

“I would rather not publicly itemise all the issues we have experienced, but again he has let us down prior to an important game that he was due to be involved in. On two occasions recently Paul has informed us, via a third party, that he couldn’t attend the matches and it has happened again prior to this weekend.”

Shame really, he had and still has alot of potential.

Thought that at first, but it does draw reference to not turning up to matches.

Maybe.

At the end of the day, Taylor has been given a great chance and with the right attitude, he could have done well. But I don't think we will be hearing the end of this, because didn't Vauxhall say that there was no way they could take him back? Will be interesting to see what happens.

They have been trying although they have been in the dark about all of this. Gutted (to say the very least).

Good luck today.

Or a midfielder biggrin.gif

Maybe it was the shame of pulling on a blue jersey and leg pulling by his family that made him not fully commit to the club!!!! bowdown.gif

So where is Taylor now?

Vauxhall manager said that they wouldnt (and couldnt financially) take Taylor back.
Have they been forced to take him or is he now a free agent?

I feel sorry for the guy really, there's obviously something that's not right. After missing out at Forest last year this could have been his best chance of forging a career. He'll have a reputation now.

Perhaps he's a bit like BA Baracus......."Ain't gettin on no coach fool" biggrin.gif

It would be worse if he signed for the goats and did well. Time for us to move on, he didn't care enough by the sounds of things, good riddance. Can't have him having his own rules. The club had to act here regardless of his potential.

Think I'm one of the few who isn't too bothered. He doesn't look like a £35,000 striker to me. Capable of producing moments of sheer class but, overall, not enough end product for me.

Looking on the bright side, now we have a chance to bring in a solid central defender.

You would think so, but this is Chester City and we dont do things like as logical as this do we. SD doesnt even acknowledge the fact we are desperate for a defender or two, he seems to think plodding about with 5 defenders is enough and then when 2 or 3 get injured or suspended then hes got a quick excuse.

As for Taylor hes obviously phoned in again and wasnt going to turn up for today even though he was part of the squad. Why on earth would you do this? Imagine having the chance to play for a football league 2 club, local to where he lives and when he does play he is one of the better players on the park, hardly out of depth is he so why the hell would you do this. Doesnt like travelling? Cant be arsed getting out of bed? I really think its a massive shame as this one of the most talented kids we have had at the clubs for a number of years and hes just wasted his chance, not just having one chance but a good number of chances.

Why whenever we sign somebody like this from a lower league like Taylor does it never work out, are we bad judges or is it how we look after and use these players, in the past i recall us signings lads similar and putting them on the bench every week, etc.

We need a centre back or two badly and quickly, the problem being SD doesnt see this, we have brought Eddie Johnson in so its not all bad.
