Bury have just been expelled from the Football League.

Been there, done that, if they have fans like ours they'll be back.

A sad day. It's shocking, with all the money in football nowadays in the top flight leagues and the absurd wages paid to some players, that entire community clubs like this are allowed to simply go to the wall by the authorities!

Something needs to be done to bring money down from the top flight to the lower levels again.
Elitist football needs to stop and a more level playing field, as was in the 60's and 70's and 80's, needs to return.
Something also needs to be done to stop corrupt owners with terrible business acumen who have histories of liquidating several businesses being able to take control of a football club they care very little for and doing the same to them!

Bury expelled, Bolton saved.. but for how long?

Bury MP and Bury FC pushing for legal action against the EFL in order to force their way into League Two next season. Which seems highly unlikely given the financial situation at that club, loans and several mortgages to service on the ground and zero income for the remainder of the season. Still their fans seem more bothered by this than actively trying to secure the ownership of the ground. Which will no doubt come back to well and truly bite them on the backside.

Meanwhile Bolton appear to have been saved by their white knights of "Football Ventures (Whites)". However, its emerged today that the head of their consortium has taken out 2 £20mill loans repayable over 3 years at 4% interest..

Tick tock
