With our fixtures set to be released on Wednesday, I thought it would be an idea to create a thread where any predictions can be posted to relieve some of the close-season boredom. In my opinion I would like us to be at home as a vocal home support would help our team’s morale a lot as well as giving us an edge.

Who do you think we will be playing against on August 3rd?
I predict us to be given a tough start by playing Brackley Town away, which would be very typical.

When I go into the National League to find the list of teams playing in order to participate I get the following message:

Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to www.thenationalleague.org.uk. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.

What can you do about it?

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

So what is a person to do?

It’s because it’s an http site not https. Https’s scramble the messages between you and them so no one else can read it. As you’re not sending them cc stuff, it’s not really a problem.

I think that these fixtures are fairly mixed to be honest. We have a difficult start as we will face the likes of Hereford FC, Kidderminster Harriers, Altrincham, and Boston United in the opening month who all have strong squads. September looks a bit more relaxed with only 4 league fixtures (which is half of August), whilst October provides us with two long journeys to Kings Lynn Town and Blyth Spartans in the space of 7 days. Again, we will be making a couple of long journeys in November where we will face Brackley Town and Gateshead away. Coincidentally, we travelled to Brackley on the same weekend last year. December looks a bit more kind, although we will have to put up with Southport over the Christmas period once again. Meanwhile, January looks like a decent month for us, whilst February looks quite tricky. In March we will play against the likes of Altrincham and Boston United which could be key games for us. Finally, we end our campaign in April which offers us a tough Easter double-header as we will play Hereford FC and Kidderminster Harriers, before a home match against Spennymoor Town on the final day which could be huge. I’m really looking forward to this season now, with a lot of exciting matches to look forward to. COYB!

Don't forget to have Saturday 9th May free as well in case we get to the play-off final.
Should be good preparation for our appearing the FA CUP final or even the FA Trophy. biggrin.gif
