Centre midfielder and free agent Declan Weeks signed for Chester FC on a short-term contract today prior to tonight’s pre-season friendly away against Padiham after impressing on trial. Over the course of pre-season I have been very impressed as he has settled into our midfield really well, so I am looking forward to finding out how he fares in the future. Declan has a lot of experience around our level having played for the likes of Southport and Kidderminster Harriers where he was highly rated, and he is still rather young so he is the type of player we definitely need.
