I think a lot of us are looking over our shoulders at the relegation places now, given recent performances.

The probability is that we will get enough points over the remaining games to be safe. However, some teams down there have started to consistently pick up points. There is also a transfer window and loads of loan opportunities available over the next few weeks.

It now looks as if Southport and Halifax have started picking up points. Surely Torquay will do everything they can to stay up. The London area teams always seem to dig out loan signings from Luton or Dagenham to go on a late run.

It could be a lot closer than some people think. Our style of play, or type of player, doesn't really suit a relegation battle.
If we lose Heneghan next month that leaves us with a defence consisting of only one centre half, and two full backs. That means more young loanees or new signings. That logically means less money available to make changes elsewhere.

I'll go Kiddie, Boreham Wood, Guiseley and Welling.

I agree about Kidderminster, but the others are no better or worse than us as we haven't beaten any of them this season. We have a few more points than them, but that can soon change. Just look at Halifax and Southport.

Torquay and Kidderminster will go - after that it could be two of at least 10. I think Welling and Boreham Wood will struggle to stay up but I also think that a couple from the mid-table, like ourselves, are at risk of dropping into it, particularly with teams like Southport and Halifax picking up points in the way they are. We've played 2 games more than Welling and are 9 points ahead of them - that's a decent gap at this stage. A win from one of those games in hand and a continuation of our current level of performance will leave we concerned though. What does go in our favour is that we have a reasonably kind run-in of fixtures until the end of the season and we have proven able to beat the poorer teams at home - if not away.

Having seen them both, I think Boreham Wood and Welling for starters. Don't ask me how we didn't beat Boreham Wood as they were dreadful.

I met some Torquay fans at Christmas and they think they're certain for the drop. But I think they'll rally.

It's hard to see how Kiddie will get back from the position they are in now. So it's Kiddie, Boreham Wood and Welling for me. And I won't be sorry if I never go to Boreham Wood again.

Kiddy, Torquay, Welling and the 21st spot being between Guiseley, Boredom Wood, Halifax and Aldershot.

We will be fine as long as Hannah stays fit. If he were to get injured I'd worry where the goals are coming from but he is the man that none of those lower teams have....a goalscorer. It makes a massive difference.

Indeed. I won't expect you to apologise when it turns out you're totally wrong though. Seeing as you always are...and you never do.

Likely that Hannah and Henneghan will get sold in Jan. Hobson and Roy Hattersley up front!

There you go again ,assuming i think we are in a relegation battle , WE ARE NOT . not yet anyway .we are in a battle to get to at least 50 points and at our current rate that will take us most of the season to achieve . So ,i have nothing to apologize for

I think us going down is totally dependent on keeping players in January, If we lose Ross I really worry about us as he appears the only one capable of scoring enough goals. If Ben goes, I worry about the centre of defence as Sharps really has not filled me with confidence at all. Torquay are the worst team I have seen by a mile.

And yet they beat Forest Green 4-1 the following week.

It's an average league with most teams very inconsistent, which is exactly what you'd expect. This is pretty much my whole point.

I get the humour but actually that is an important factor - regardless of on the pitch form which clubs are on the brink of a potential financial disaster/forced demotion this season?

Torquay and Kidderminster don't have a pot to p1ss in between them. Kiddy are as good as down anyway.

Your assessment is based on what? You admit you don't go to the away games, so therefore with Welling still to play at Chester and some of those just outside still to play which include Aldershot and Altrincham who we have yet to play a league game against, how do you come to that conclusion? Sticking a tail on a donkey?
