Looks like a tough test for the blues.Beat them 3-1 at welling last year with 2 goals from John Rooney. But they have only lost once at home this season and will fancy their chances after a good 2-1 win at Gateshead at the weekend. cityscarf.gif

beating Gateshead away Saturday, welling seem very confident of the win... I'm just hoping for a good game and some passion to repay the expense of going there!! I don't mind losing its the manner in which the team plays that I mind. Play well we should have a good chance

Very wet down here today. Season before last we got bullied and battered on a very, very dry pitch that played as if it was frozen. Last year we dominated and deserved our win on a wet heavy pitch. Pitch likely to be a factor again - I think.

Due to stop raining mid afternoon - not nearly as heavy as it was earlier (I am about 6 miles away). Think it should be ok.

Welling did beat Gateshead on Saturday, but prior to that they have picked up just 6 points in 10 games.
They are in their league postion for a reason.
This is a match i would be very disappointed not to come away with a win from.

I might've missed it but is there an exiles meeting place for Bromley, or does anybody on here know of any decent boozers round there?

We have emailed members and said we're meeting in the Bromley Social Club, and also mentioned the Wetherspoons near the station as some might pop in there on the way.

The Red Lion is by far the best boozer in the area, and I might call in there afterwards. I don't think I've got time for a drink before the game.

I think we need to win tonight if we're genuinely wanting improvement on last season. Consistency is our problem this year and we need to put a run together if we seriously want to turn ourselves into playoff contenders. Personally I can see a finish of around 10th, on the form so far. cityscarf.gif

Is the wetherspoons by welling station?? Been up in Covent Garden and soho and could do with some cheap food to soak up the effort so far!!

First game of the season for me.
Heading off in a few minutes, with very, very black clouds about to shed bucket loads of water.

Good old London traffic, about 14 miles away for me as the crow flies - will take an hour and a half to get there if I am lucky.
