After leaving the game Carl set up a company carrying out R&D into stretcher technology. They also conduct training programs and carry out auditing for companies with stretcher bearing personnel.

Unfortunately Colin Greenhall has had to leave the game as he suffers from extreme back pain associated with having carried Mark Came through most games.

Anyone know where the other two are now?

I know Colin Greenall is a scratch golfer, who tried - but failed - to qualify for The Open a year or so back.

There's info about some ex-Chester players on Steve's site here:

That page must be a nightmare for Steve to keep up to date. Just had a quick look and spotted Danny Collins and Chris Holroyd who should be at Nottingham Forest and Macclesfield respectively.

That career choice is apt, as I remember an injured Carl Dale being dropped from a stretcher in front on the Sealand Road end, when one of the bearers got caught in the net.

I was at college in Cardiff when he played for them. I used to go to a lot of games at Ninian Park and while he was well-loved by the Cardiff fans, I always felt he was one of ours.

biggrin.gif my update on Carl may not have been strictly correct. Indeed it may well have been totally made up.

Watching Sgorio is like a Chester 'Where Are They Now?' episode. James Owen named man of the match for Airbus, Michael Wilde scoring for TNS and Glenn Rule also playing in the match.

I'm still trying to find where Mick Speight is coaching these days.

He seems to have disappeared . . . . . again !
