My first time starting a match thread so hopefully it will bring some much needed good luck.

I'm gonna punt for a 3-1 win to the blues. Alabi scoring 2 and Richards coming on and scoring the third.

Come on Blue Boys citysign.GIF cityscarf.gif cityscarf.gif

Too hard to call this one. But getting some sort of result will go a long way to deciding whether we stay up or go down!

Wonder what will come out of the SB formation lottery tonight?

I'll go for 3-1-3-2-1 with players looking visibly confused on the pitch.

Big night tonight considering the other fixtures in my opinion.

A win would be welcomed but I'm predicting a 1-1 draw. That'll be three games unbeaten wink.gif

If we lose tonight, will Burr have the backbone to do the post match interview, instead of leaving it to McCarthy as he usually does when we lose?
Burr should stop blaming the players in public for making mistakes it is poor man management and ruins confidence.
Continually changing formations during games must be confusing for the players.
It is obvious that McCarthy's training methods are sorely lacking, especially from dead ball situations.
Burr blames everything apart from himself and McCarthy, he would gain more respect if he took the responsibility for the rubbish that we
have endured this season. He has taken this club backwards with his poor management, the worst part is splitting the fan base.
I think too much has happened for him and McCarthy to stay next season, especially when a respected supporter like Charlie Lambert is so concerned.
I must state that I have the utmost respect for the Board and all the Volunteers, without their hard work we would have no Football Club.

I have a feeling it's going to be a hammering.

They're putting wins on the board. Nathan Blissett has been in good form for them since signing and can be a real handful for defenders. If Dracula retains his place between the sticks then we are in big trouble.

Going to say a 3-1 win for Torquay, Ernie will do the post match interview and blame the budget, blame the pitch, blame the travel, and blame the ref...

Time for Sharps to step up to the plate and lead us to a clean sheet. Need to play with cover on the wings otherwise it's going to be a beating.

If Chester are to take the lead then it needs to be on 90 + 4 mins because we've got no chance of holding a lead.

Is Sharps fit for tonight? I was assuming he was struggling with his hamstring strain. If he's out that leaves Sam at centre half again. Also means we can't play a back three, as we haven't the players left to play it. Hopefully Sharps will be out there.

Hughes, Sharps and Astles at the back.

Luke George in the midfield with Shaw and Rooney, and Hunt and Higgins wide.

Hannah and Alabi up front.

Subs, Lloyd, O'Brien, Richards, Mahon and keeper.

I've no idea who'll play in goal tonight.

May scrape a 1-1 draw, but reckon more likely is a 1 or 2 goal defeat. If so, the league table may look really worrying by 10pm.

4-2-3-1

Thompson

Higgins
Sharps
Astles
Hunt

Hughes
George

Richards
Rooney
Lloyd

Hannah

George and Hughes to give us a platform and protect our slow centre-backs. Richards and Lloyd out wide, both of them can cause problems but are diligent defensively as well. Hannah, in an ideal world, would have a partner but if Rooney can get close to him that team could cause problems.

The players know the system and there are definitely goals within that side. He'll go 3-5-2 again but that's the team I'd pick.

Swap Rooney for Alabi and that's the team I'd go for.

we need to play this tactically and shut the door...a point down here would be good...but unfortunately tactics amongst others is one of our weakest points...3-1 defeat im afraid.

Agree about tactics being important and not losing to relegation rivals however for Stan Gandy's sake will go for 2-1 win with a last minute winner from Hannah.

Good news!

Raises the question of whether he was fit for the Boreham Wood game then. If so, why wasn't he on the subs bench? We had 4 attacking players and a keeper.
That cost us when Ben got injured.
