BUSINESSWOMAN Stephanie Booth will today hold talks with key players in the ongoing saga to take over Wrexham FC and the Racecourse.

Ms Booth, who owns a string of North Wales hotels, will meet club owner Geoff Moss.

She has lined up talks with Wrexham councillor Phil Wynn – who is trying to set up a fans consortium bid – and the Wrexham Supporters Trust.

And next Tuesday Ms Booth will be outside her Wynnstay Arms at 1.30pm with The Crusaders players and staff, handing out heart shaped Welsh cakes to coincide with the St David's parade.

She urged everyone to get involved to support Wales and Wrexham FC together.

Ms Booth said: “These are exploratory talks to see if there is a way forward and to see what can or cannot be done commercially.

“I want this to be a community project and, if it is to be a community project, then I want all these talks to be open and transparent and not behind closed doors.”

A website campaign called Back the Booth has already seen well over 1,200 people sign up to it, showing the strong level of support that exists for the entrepreneur.

Cllr Wynn said: “The call for any help from fans is going well and we have had 70 responses from fans who have expressed an interest in buying shares in the club.

“We are looking for any other fans who may be interested in putting in £50,000 each into the club.”

There were fears Wrexham FC was on the brink of administration with D-day just days, rather than weeks, away.

On Tuesday the Daily Post asked Mr Moss how critical the situation was and he responded: “If the fans are going to make a bid it needs to be in the next seven days.

“There are bills and wages to be paid and the fans need to step up and save the club.”

Yesterday Mr Moss appeared to have changed tack.

A club statement said Mr Moss had moved: “To reassure fans the club does not face an imminent administration or liquidation.”

Mr Moss added: “If anyone feels they have the best interests of Wrexham FC at heart, is able to invest in the necessary areas and can command significant support, then I would be pleased to sit down with them and talk about a sale.”

Now there's a thought, she could have a lot of land to build another hotel to compete with the Ramada Jarvis hotel just round the corner laugh.gif laugh.gif

I think it is quite naive for them to believe that she will have the time and money to turn around a club that is supposed to be losing £1M a year!

Still think their best bet is admin.

Want £50000 off fans willing to buy shares? It would be like throwing it out of a window in a gale ,£1 million debt to contend with, the hotel business is not a good way of making money, I bet Moss and co , arerubbing their hands at the prospect of getting shut ..

To be honest his comment was an absolute disgrace and I'm sickened by it. His out of date view belongs in the nineteen fifties if not earlier.

I mean, what was he on about 'turning' into Trannys? I'd be more surprised if your fans ever turned straight.

ONE of Britain's best known transsexuals is buying up a string of prominent hotels and pubs in and around an historic North Wales town.

Stephanie Booth, who was once jailed for selling porn and runs a sex-change and cross-dressing website, has bought five hotels and pubs in Ruthin in the last15 months - and is in the market to buy more.

So far, Stephanie, who used to be called Keith Hull, and husband David Booth have bought the 600-year-old Bodidris Hall, Llandegla, the Plough Hotel, also in Llandegla, the Anchor Hotel, Ruthin, the Castle Hotel and adjoining Myddleton Arms in St Peter's Square, Ruthin, and the Clwyd Gate Restaurant, between Mold and Ruthin.

The couple have already hosted gay and lesbian weddings, as well as a function for the Crown Prosecution Service.

That 'wrexhamfan' character is getting a bit defensive isn't he? I wonder if he and his partner had their civil partnership ceremony at one of Stephanie 'Rod' Hull's seedy B&Bs?
I suppose as long as they let rams in the rooms he'd have been o.k.
