Get the Hipkiss or allow yourself lots of travelling time, guy I work with has played at Crilly Park and is local to it, says there is no parking there, its in Atherton in a real rough area and does not know how the traffic will be handled on the night. There are some pics of the ground on a previous thread from Anders (I think), not pretty. After todays results as many of us need to get down there as possible to roar the blues on to 3 points, weather should be OK as its giving warmer and wetter weather coming in.

Was up round that way last week so went to Crilly Park just to check it out, it's on a housing estate, cant see parking being a problem, two stations within walking distance.

I've never seen you at an away game. bowdown.gif

Not that I'm going myself. Had a 200+mile wasted round trip today - my second this season.

We were heading on to the M6 when we heard the news, luckily though we had enough time to change from north to south-bound so went to watch villa play blackburn instead. Wasn't really the same like but still a good day out.

Been looking forward to this one for ages. Chance to avenge that excellent Adam Judge performance and the late equaliser at home. Hope the temperature stays on the right side of zero tomorrow.

Temperatures due to rise to 7c to 8c according to Sky! getting milder but very unsettled rain could be the problem.

It's bloody chilly up this way, car was showing a solitary single degree on the thermometer earlier, and it didn't feel much warmer out there a moment ago either.

There's plenty of car parks in Atherton town centre- I used to work there a few years ago and parking was free and never a problem during the day. Guess parking at night will be easier as it's not the sort of place that comes alive at night.. a real ghost town. Never heard of Crilly park but map shows it's near the town centre. biggrin.gif

Seen a few people on Facebook and on here mention that parking near Leigh's ground is a bastard.
Anyone know the best place?

Personally I'd have assumed there would be plenty of places to park at the side of the road with it being on a housing estate, provided you don't mind a 5 minute walk.
